Petri S. Juuti, PhD, head of the group   

is a historian and adjunct professor at the Department of History at the University of Tampere. His major areas of interest are urban environment, especially city-service development, water supply and sanitation, urban technology, pollution and public policy. PhD Juuti is an author of several books. 

Harri Mäki, MA,

is a PhD student and researcher at the Department of History at the University of Tampere. His PhD thesis's working title is: Sanitation and Environment in South African Towns in 1890-1920

Agata Depka, MA, MS   

is a Polish born geographer and economist. She combines and enriches previously gained knowledge as a PhD student at the Department of Regional Studies at the University of Tampere. Her PhD thesis's working title is: Sustainable regional development in Poland: water management

Peter Kamau   

is a Kenyan born PhD student at the University of Tampere. His doctoral thesis's working title is: Water, sanitation and forestry policies in colonial Kenya, 1895-1963.

Riikka Rajala

is a researcher and PhD student at Institute of Environmental Engineering and Biotechnology  (IEEB) at Tampere University of Technology (TUT). She is currently working on PhD thesis titled: Development of customer-oriented thinking of water services.

Viktor Pál  

is a Hungarian born PhD student of the Finnish Graduate School of History. His fields of interest are urban environmental history, water history, history of technology and popularising science.  An author of scientific and popular articles in English, Finnish and Hungarian. Webmaster of IEHG site.

Undergraduate students are also participating in IEHG.
